ABP Food Group is recruiting a Lairage Attendant / Animal Welfare Officer at their beef processing plant in Waterford City, Ireland. The role involves receiving, handling and caring for livestock in the lairage, ensuring animal welfare standards are met at all times. The successful candidate will also be responsible for processing livestock documentation and maintaining hygiene in the lairage area. ABP is one of Europe's largest privately owned agribusiness companies, employing over 14,000 people across more than 50 manufacturing plants in nine countries.

Typical requirements

• Background in livestock management or farming
• Must be available for early starts
• Computer literate
• Good general communication skills
• Competency in maintaining accurate and clear records
• Compliance with animal welfare procedures and Certificates of Competence
